Prof. Jian Xu, works in the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a Special allowance expert of the State Council, the owner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and the Vice Chair of ICCAS Strategy Planning Committee. He also is the member of National Strategic Emerging Industries Committee and National 863 Program Committee, the Chief Scientist of Advanced Fibers and Composites in National 863 Program, the director of National Center for Scientific Instruments, the Vice Presidents of Chinese Material Research Society and Chinese Composites Society, and the Chair of ISO TC202. His research interests focuses on the bio-inspired materials and high performance fiber. He has more than 220 publications, 50 issued patents and 13 co-edited chapters or books.
