General Biology, as the basic course taught in first semester for undergraduates majored in chemical biology, will be focused on the introduction of basic biological knowledge, inspiration of learning interests, and training of intellectual philosophy. Considering the background of audience, the course will be taught in a logic knowledge system, ranging from molecule, cell, and organ in the beginning, to individual and social organization and activity in the last. The traditional knowledge, such as classification and evolution in plant and animals, will be introduced in details for building solid biological background, and the new scientific progress, such as molecular and cell biology, will also be touched for an easier extensive study in the future. In general, by this course, the students will be able to establish their own recognition on biological science in a more professional way, which will be a critical beginning step for their more specialized study in the future.
General Chemistry

Organic Chemistry 2-1
2
The objectives of course: Through the study of "organic chemistry" course, the students can master the basic concepts and basic theories of organic chemistry, the basic organic chemical reaction types, the important reaction mechanism, the relationship between structure and properties of organic compounds, and can apply the organic chemistry knowledge to solve practical problems.
Organic Chemistry Experiment 2-1
This course is an introduction to the theory and fundamental skill of organic chemistry experiment. The course will mainly examine the following subjects: (i) the Training and operate to use correct of instrument; (ii) a rigorous scientism and a practical ability to problematic of experiment; (iii) be practical and realistic in experiment; (iv) put on one's thinking cap; (v) Be bold in putting things into practice and blazing new trails.
Organic Chemistry 2-2
Organic Chemistry Experiment 2-2
Instrument Analysis
The purpose of the instrument analysis course is to let the students understand the method/principle, instrument structure and applying scope of the common analytical instruments, and have the ability to solve the corresponding problems by using the corresponding methods of instrument analysis. The main content of the course covers most of the analytical methods used in chemistry researches, including atomic spectrum/mass spectrometry, molecular spectroscopy, electrochemical analysis, chromatography and mass spectrometry. This course is for the sophomore of Boling class of Chemistry. The instrument analysis course is mainly taught by teachers, and many questions are inserted during the teaching. During learning the course, the students will master the professional knowledge and get the ability and habit of thinking diversely and creatively.
Biochemistry
This course presents a comprehensive introduction the biochemical knowledge, such as the chemical composition, structure, and function of biological molecular in the organism, the metabolism of biological molecular, and the complex relationship between the phenomenon of life, to elucidate chemical nature of the phenomenon of life. Sophomores of chemical biology specialty are the teaching object.
Structural Chemistry
Structural chemistry is one of those disciplines, which is essentially in all branches in chemistry. Structural Chemistry studies the structures of atom, molecules and crystals at atomic and molecular levels, and furthermore explores the relationship between properties and structures.
Chemical Biology
The course contains structure and synthesis of biomolecules, molecular recognition and dynamics in biological systems, central dogma of Chemical Biology, Omics and Comparative Chemical Biology, Chemical Genetics and Chemical intervention in cellular processes, Cell cycle regulation, Bioorthogonal Chemistry and Biolabeling, Molecular Imaging, Applied Chemical Biology. The course emphasize the concepts of chemistry in a survey of modern research topics in chemical biology.Together these will give students a thorough grounding on contemporary chemical biology. Students should have undergraduate-level knowledge of organic chemistry and general biology.
Experiments in Physical Chemistry 2-1
Physical Chemistry experiment is a fundamental course followed by the Inorganic Chemistry experiment, Analytical Chemistry experiment and Organic Chemistry experiment. This course combines the basic research tools and methods needed in any branch of the chemistry field. When the students finish this course, they will be able to obtain the following knowledge: (i) the method and technology of temperature control and measuring; (ii) the method and technology of pressure control and measuring; (iii) the experimental technique of electrochemistry; (iv) measuring technique of liquor concentration etc.
Physical Chemistry 2-1
3.5
ObjectiveThrough the study of physical chemistry courses, the students would master the basic theories, principles of physical chemistry. The students would also learn to use the knowledge of physical chemistry to analyze and solve practical problems. The knowledge of physical chemistry would provide a foothold for students to learn other chemical and related courses.

Methods and Techniques in Chemical Biology
The goal of this course is to enable students to understand and master the discipline of chemical biology trends, research methods, experimental techniques, and other related fields, then helping them determine research project, academic integration and solve practical problems. Based on introducing the knowledge of nucleic acids and proteins, the main lectures are about the various operations technology, equipment operating techniques and computational chemistry applications in chemical biology. The objects of this course are undergraduate and graduate students who majored in chemical biology.
Experiment of Chemical Biology
Experiment of Chemical Biology is a compulsory course for the students major in Chemical-Biology. The aim of the course is to help students grasp the related theoretical knowledge, consolidate the knowledge learned in the classroom, enrich the content. The most important is to help the students master the method and technique in their major and contrast with the theory of curriculum. The experimental course selects 3 basic experiments related to molecular biology and biochemistry, and 4 experiments realted to the interaction between chemical small molecures and and biological macro molecues. The teaching object of the course is the university students in grade three major in Chemical-Biology.The course will lead the students to understand the key methods used in the study of chemical biology, and make them to master the main techniques, so as to enhance the understanding of the theoritical knowledgy
